The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion has been a popular manhwa for a while now, but it has recently been adapted into an anime series (Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu). The first episode aired on 10th April 2023. As fans of the original manhwa, we were super curious to see how the adaptation would turn out. After watching the first episode, we're happy to say that we were pleasantly surprised.
We were delighted to see how Raeliana's character shines through in the anime. We know she's a woman of action who's determined to fight for her life. Watching her devise clever solutions to escape her fate is entertaining and inspiring. While initially naive in her process, she quickly realizes that she needs to be more strategic if she wants to survive.
The anime also does an excellent job of introducing the background. We learn the nobles' power has been on the decline, and those with new money are on the rise. This sets the stage for a power struggle that Raeliana finds herself caught up in. She's forced to navigate this dangerous world and try to stay alive while doing so.
Well, we don't really want to spoil the story for anyone who hasn't read this amazing manhwa!

While the creators of the anime are clearly working with a budget, they still managed to produce an engaging and faithful adaptation of the original work.
