As an English speaker just starting to draw again, I feel that the blue books for Point Character Design are the most worth it! These 2 books have English translations and cover the foundations for anatomy of the head, body, arms and legs as well as hair! Since this was a set, I also received the red book "Secret Character Drawing" (730 pages!!!). It is only in Korean and seems to cover very specific questions that are not really addressed in the blue books. Questions like drawing glasses and specific poses and clothing folds. You can easily use Google Lens to translate the pages and for the price it's very worth it!

This book may be the Holy Grail of anime drawing style, and the translation makes it even better. Everything is explained, with both accuracy and simplicity. It would be better to have the basic figure drawing fundamentals before buying it though, which is perfectly fine. The fact that taco's online drawings are now accessible in one place is just great. I don't understand a lick of korean, and i'm a total beginner at art, but the pictures seem really easy to follow and there's a lot of like indicators in the book that help you understand what the author is trying to say in each step, so i don't think there'll be a problem if you don't know any korean at all. The book actually came 2 days before the estimated arrival date which is really great because i was super excited to get it in the mail! All in all i'm pretty happy with my purchase and will most likely be purchasing the other tutorial books from this site :D

Very inspirational and insightful. Even if you can't read Korean, I think you can take a lot from this book as the drawings are often very self-explanatory. Recommended if you are interested in manhwa stylization.
