Tsukasa Akeuraji had not intended to become an ice dancer when he chose to enter the realm of figure skating. It is, however, where he wound up because he "started too late" to pursue his real solo-skating ambitions. For years, he was happy to be a shell of his previous aspirations, until he encountered a little girl who reminded him of himself.
Inori Yuitsuka, a fifth-grader who was so eager to learn to skate that she practiced in private, had gone to Tsukasa's rink with her mother to inquire about classes. Everyone around her labeled her as worthless, telling her it was "too late" for her to start and that catching up to other skaters was unattainable. Tsukasa takes on the burden of teaching her and vows to make Inori a medalist with a newfound conviction and reluctance to let another passionate skater go down the same path as him.
